January 4, 2010- We need your help.

We need your help.  We need at least 10 people to complete the short  Evaluation Survey regarding the Readiness for Midwifery Practice in Canada Self Assessment Tool, found in the Self Assessment section of this website.  If you have done this anonymous self assessment (which we really encourage everyone to), please log back on and go to the bottom of the page of Section II: Midwifery Competencies and click Evaluation Survey.  Thank you all in advance for your help.

December 19, 2009- The MMBP Application Portfolio Finalization Button is now available.

The MMBP Application Portfolio can now be finalized so that applicants can access the Mail-in -version of their completed application portfolios.

 

December 10, 2009- Steps 6, 8 and 10 of the MMBP Application Portfolio have re-opened.

 

November 18, 2009- The MMBP Eligibility Quiz is now available.

This quiz is designed to help you better understand the MMBP eligibility requirements. It allows you to self-assess if you are likely to meet the requirements for entry into the MMBP, or if you should first upgrade your education, experience, or English language skills before applying to the MMBP.

 

November 3, 2009- Midwifery in Canada-is it right for you? Check it out!

This quiz allows you to better understand the Canadian midwifery profession and what midwives in Canada are expected to know and do.

The MMBP English Language & Midwifery Eligibility Requirements for Pilot 2 have been updated and posted under 'Entry Requirements'. Flowcharts, that walk you through the eligibility requirements, are also now available.

July 29, 2009 - Announcement of upcoming Orientation to Canadian Health Care course offerings

Potential future MMBP applicants who need to take the Orientation to Canadian Health Care course may take the online or in-person course offered by the University of Toronto. Those who are not yet living in Canada may take the online "pre-arrival" course scheduled for August 24 - October 30, 2009. The online and in-person "post-arrival" courses will be offered in the fall of 2009. Click here for more information.
