New - A Multi-jurisdictional Bridging Pilot for Western & Northern Canada
The CMRC, in collaboration with the University of British Columbia, Mount Royal College and l'Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, is launching the Multi-jurisdictional Midwifery Bridging Pilot (MMBP), in March 2009. Qualified internationally-educated midwives who meet the eligibility criteria are invited to apply by October 14, 2008.
The framework for a bridging program was approved by CMRC in 2006. In the Fall/Winter of 2006/07, the CMRC directed research to develop and pilot the new Multi-jurisdictional Midwifery Bridging Program. For more information on the history of the development of this project, click here.
