Terms of Use

The PESA tool has been created solely to assist with preparation for the CMRE. The Canadian Midwifery Regulators Consortium (CMRC) and its member provincial and territorial regulatory organisations will not access or consider any information entered into the PESA by users, including responses and scores.

Use of the PESA requires setting up a user account, with a username and password. No personal information is included, but an email address is required. Users can use their regular personal email, or for further privacy and anonymity, can set up a separate email account through one of the free providers such as gmail or hotmail.

All material that forms the PESA, including exam questions, rationales, and user information, are copyrighted. It is prohibited to print PESA pages for any type of use, and to circulate or otherwise distribute or provide access to the PESA or its content (including exam questions) without prior written permission.

The CMRC or one of its member regulatory organizations may suspend or terminate a user’s access to all or part of the PESA if there is a suspected or confirmed breach of these terms of use.

Limitation of Liability
While the CMRC has worked hard to ensure accuracy and has contracted a stable and secure internet server, the use of the PESA is at your own risk, and the CMRC and its member regulatory organizations shall not be liable or held responsible for any loss, damage or injury resulting from your use of the PESA, including from inaccuracy of information, technical problems (including PESA downtimes), or data interception or loss occurring during your use.

A passing mark on one or more attempts at the PESA does not guarantee a passing mark on the CMRE.
